The barn itself very clean and with modern facilities and has been renovated to the highest standard, from the moment you wake up in your comfy bed listening to the stream running past with the mountain backdrops as your view to picking fresh herbs from the garden to help with your dinner to snuggling up on the sofa of an evening with the log burner making everything just right I couldn't recommend this place enough, mountain walks on your doorstep and waterfalls within reach we will be coming back!

Frat spot for walks in magnificent surroundings, literally from your doorstep. The cottage has a boutique hotel style and Maggie, the proprietor, is very helpful and discreet. We have been able to drive around the lakes from this location. We had seven wonderful days there.

Highly recommended. We will be going back. It may not be in the centre of the lake district, but we liked that. It was peaceful and felt like we were part of the 'real' Lakes because it was not too close to the touristy centre of the Lake District, but everything including Haverigg beach was just a short drive away. The best lake, Coniston, is about twenty mins drive away. The Punchbowl Inn is within walking distance serving really good pub grub. The owner is very approachable, accommodating and helpful.

Has a great knowledge of local walks, sending us on an amazing walk that started on a pathway that used to be a victorian railway track, led to another great pub - The Blacksmiths Arms and though rolling fields full of new born lambs. All in all a wonderful easter break. The cottage is charming, cosy and comfortable, and there is no shortage of walks and family activities in the area. Sign-in or Register. Shopping Basket. The price that this house will sell for is partly determined by how quickly the owner wants to sell, as well as the buyer's desire for this particular property.

If the owner is keen to sell quickly, they are more likely to realise the lower end of this valuation. This valuation range assumes that no home improvements have been carried out since the owner purchased the property. We recommend checking the cost per square foot and how it compares to other properties nearby.

For a house to qualify for the fully refurbished valuation, we would expect home improvements to have been carried out to the kitchen, flooring, windows, doors, bathroom s and heating system. By using the cost per square foot, we can calculate what additional value an extension might add to this property.
